The Gathering is neeting with BRIGADE COUNCIL at Tulliallan Castle in the Kingdom of Fife by invitation of The Boys’ Brigade in Scotland during the weekend 5th to 7th September 2008.
Brigade
Council is the governing body of The Boys’ Brigade and during the
annual Council Meeting, the work of the organisation is reviewed,
members consulted and the future surveyed. In addition the hosts
organise the weekend in a way that will encourage the unique fellowship
of The Boys’ Brigade.
Brigade Council consists of:
- All
Captains, Chaplains, Lieutenant, Warrant Officers, Cadets and Staff
Sergeants of Companies in the United Kingdom of Great
Britain and Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and
the Republic of Ireland.
- Members of the Brigade Executive.
- Ex-officio members of each Battalion and District Council not already covered in 1 or 2 above.
- Members of Regional Committees who are not already included in 1 or 2 above.
- Seniors attending ‘The Gathering’, a special event organised by Young People for Young People.
Please note that a separate Registration Form must be completed by all those attending The Gathering, whether Resident or Day Visitor.

ACCOMMODATION
All accommodation is in Tulliallan Castle, rooms are twin with en-suite facilities.
Single room occupancy is available on payment of a single room supplement.
All inclusive Full Weekend from before Dinner Friday night to after Sunday Lunch - £75.00
All inclusive from Saturday morning until after breakfast Sunday - £45.00
Day visitors incl: coffees and Lunch - £20.00
(All inclusive includes transport and the Saturday evening show)
Special Assistance or Diet: Please let us know if you have any special requirements and we will make suitable arrangements
for you. Please use the registration form for this.
Car Parking:
There is adequate car parking on site, visitors will be directed to
registration, can then unload at their accommodation block then take
their vehicle to the designated car park
Day Visitors: If you intend to attend on the Saturday ONLY, please fill in the Registration Form and enclose the appropriate fees.
Cancellation:
In the event of a cancellation being necessary, the registration fee
will be forfeited. Cancellation within one week of the
event may result in no refund.
Transport:
Please detail your method of transports at the appropriate place on
the Registration Form no matter how you are travelling.
We will be arranging transport from Edinburgh International Airport.
Friday Evening Reception: The reception will be held at Tulliallan Castle and will include a full evening of entertainment. Afterwards, a Home International Sporting Tournament will be arranged.
Saturday:
The
Gathering is an
event for young people organised by young people. It’s
aim is to engage young people in the Brigade, to seek their views and
opinions - effectively - to enable the ‘voice’ of young people
to be heard right to the highest levels of our organisation, to help
shape the future direction and development of The Boys’ Brigade.
The Gathering participants will join the main Council meeting for debate on any motions brought to Council.
Saturday Lunch: at Brigade Council will be provided to all attending and included in your fees.
Saturday Evening:
For your entertainment, we will join the Officers and Boys of the 1st
Bearsden Company at Alloa Town Hall for their annual concert
Sunday Morning Service: This will be held at Tulliallan Castle.
