Cashback for Communities

CashBack

Cashback for Communities is a Scottish Government initiative that uses funds recovered from criminal activity to support positive activities for young people.

The Cashback for Communities Small Grants Scheme was established to support local volunteer led groups or units, who may not previously have had access to external funding, to enhance their programmes for young people and get positive projects off the ground. The scheme is aimed at units and youth groups that predominantly work with young people aged between 10 and 19 years.

The Scottish Government have provided more funds to allow the scheme to continue for a further year. The next deadline for applications is the 1st March 2012. Both Companies and Battalions can apply for grants. Two grant types are available £1000 grants to start up a new Section/Company. Existing Companies can apply for up to £2000 to help develop their programme. Companies who applied in year one can apply again, however, priority will usually be given to new applicants.

The application is fairly simple to complete but you will need to provide a copy of your latest accounts.
