Network:S is a new opportunity for seniors and young leaders (S4 to age 19) to meet, network, plan activities, discuss topical local, national and UK BB issues and generally do things that seniors and young leaders want to do!

The whole concept of Network:S is that there is no fixed format, programme, constitution or criteria (e.g. involving size of groups or geographical boundaries). That's for each Network:S group to decide as they form and develop!

You decide whether your Network:S group is all from one Company, 2 or 3 Companies, a whole Battalion (or more than one Battalion).  You decide where and when to meet, what your programme is etc.
 
So you might be thinking 'Well...that all sounds great, but how do we get a Network:S group started'.  To help with this, a small working group of young leaders has been formed and have developed a one-day launch event programme that will be delivered at several locations across Scotland (see details below) and (in the future) as requested by areas or Battalions.  The purpose of the 'launch events' is for those attending to develop a Network:S format that will fit their local needs and requirements, rather than adopt a 'one-size fits all' approach.  The day will equip those attending with all the necessary tools to get a Network:S started in their area.
 
The support will not stop there, however, as the working group will continue to provide advice and support where needed to help each group develop.
 
And the future?  Well...depending on the success of this pilot scheme, the intention will be to develop a centralised means for groups to network (e.g.) through a web forum and/or through residential events (e.g. GATHERING), with the intent being on widening networks, sharing ideas, having a laugh and getting more involved.  All this, as with everything else in Network:S will be decided and shaped by the network.
