Most Scottish Companies and Sections use a system of badge-work as part of the programme. Your Company may use some of these awards and badges to mark participation, achievement and proficiency.
Click the pictures below to find out more about these badges, and how they are achieved. You may find some useful programme ideas for your own Company. Click the word "Badges" above to return to this page..
If you're in Company Section just now, and were in Junior Section or Anchor Boys - you may notice that the badges for these sections are different from the ones you may have! Programme material and awards are constantly being reviewed to keep them current and interesting. The Company Section and Seniors work is currently under review, and new Programme material will be available shortly. You can check out the latest news on the new Company Section Programme coming next session by clicking the picture below (new Seniors Programmes will be released in 2008).
Below are some pictures of old badges that you may remember from Junior Section or Anchor Boys - and some even older ones that your father or grandfather (and some of your Officers) might have gained in the BB.
If you're interested in old badges; there's a BB website, dedicated to badges, that describes them in more detail.![]() The Boys' Life Brigade (United with the BB in 1927) |
